    Selecting on a form

Rookie, I'm embarrassed to ask this....but here goes.

I have a subform created and I know that I can rightclick and sort/select, but I'd like to simply put a box on the header of the form to select a subset of the data. It should be easy, but some guidance would be appreciated.

not much to go on but perhaps use the subform linkchild/master properties. linkmaster would be the name of your 'box' on the main form header, linkchild the name of the field (not control) in your subform recordsource
