Unhappy .mdb (Windows 7) to. accdb (Windows 10) - Buttons not wo

    Hi,

    Good day.

We are using .mdb with Windows 7 and now we need to move to Windows 10 with .accdb. I opened the access .mdb database using Windows 7 and saved the database as .accdb. When I went to Windows 10 and open the database, all buttons are not working. Did I miss some steps?

Can you please help me figure out what steps I missed and on how to resolve this issue?

    Thanks so much

    Hi Ajax,

    Thanks for your fast reply.

Yes, it is in a trusted location. It is located at the same folder as the old version where everybody can access to it.

In regards to "enabled the code to run", what do you mean by that? Is it the Security Warning where it says "Some active content has been disabled. Click for more details?" the first time I opened the new database? If yes, I clicked Enable Content button for that one. I also went to Trust Center Settings of the new version and allowed everything that needs to be allowed.

Maybe there is another place to enable the code to run?

    some missing details
Some active content has been disabled
This is a split db and everyone has their own front end? You dealt with this in every front end and only had to do it once for each? I thought it happens every time you open a protected file. It sounds more like everyone is sharing the same database (We are using .mdb with Windows 7). Beyond needing to be in a trusted location, there really is no such thing as going in and enabling code. Does everything appear normal until you start clicking buttons?

I just found out the culprit. After moving from .mdb to .accdb, I realized that all buttons' VBA codes need to reenter again. This is kinda pain in the butt but after checking the event of each button and copied the codes, all buttons are working fine again.

Thanks Micron and Ajax for your time checking this issue for me.

Much appreciated and have a great night

    Thanks,

Sorry, but that makes no sense. Opening a db in Access and doing a SaveAs on that file wouldn't/shouldn't remove any code. You must have done something else initially, like copy everything into a new db, but forgot the modules and forms. Can't think of any other reason.
