Add autonumber field in 1:1 relationship

    Hi,

i have juntion table and foreign key to lookup table1. (many to 1). From this lookup table i have 1:1 relationship to NamesTable.
Do you use autonumber field in 1:1 relationship?

    Or just number?

In lookup table i am using usually autonumber field but when i want to add something i need related record in Namestable so i have a problem.
    Best,
    Jacek

1:1 relationships are not common and you don't need a junction table, you would normally just combine the two tables. However to answer your question, one table would have the autonumber field, the other just a long.

    hi Ajax,

i know that there are not common but i have one

thank you very much. Which table should have autonumber? The one (lookuptable) related to junction table (one to many) or the Second related to lookuptable (1:1)?

    Best,
    Jacek
