Access database not working

Hi Guys,
I have developed an Access database in to a fully push button application. I had to move it from one drive to another, I moved it, it now will not open. If I double click on the file it just opens Access and goes to the 'Open Database' screen; if I open Access then try to open my file the same thing happens. I was talking to a friend, and he said that it sounds like a bit had flipped, this should not happen. I have tried compacting and repairing the file, but to no avail. I don't know what to do, apart from going back to a, rather old, backup, which I would rather not do.

Have you tried to open it while holding down a <SHIFT> key?

Thank you for your quick response to my dilemma, but yes I have tried opening with <SHIFT> held down, it does not seem to make any difference.
When I do try and open it with or without <SHIFT> 'enable content' flashes on the screen for, like, about .1 of a second before going to the Open Database screen as already described.

Is it a split database or is everything in one db? It is not zipped up is it?

Could it be a permissions issue with the "new" location?

It is a split database, so the data is safe, but it had not yet gone in to production so it was just trial data anyway, it is not zipped, and I tried moving it back to the old location to see if it would open there. I did everything that I could think of. But I am now lost for ideas, other than getting a commercially available package that rescues Access files.

Have you used the Linked Table Manager to change the location of the BackEnd? Try IMPORTING the FrontEnd into a fresh new db and see if it will open with a <SHIFT> key.

I believe you've answered both the RuralGuy and myself but I've absolutely no idea which answer refers to what!
If you need to come back, please clarify what you are referring to!
