Automate Access database to open and refresh at its own

Can anyone tell if it's possible to Automate an Access database to open and refresh all linked tables at its own. Let's say that the tables are linked to an excel sheet for example.

    Thank you.

Just opening access will refresh the linked tables assuming the excel file is available

I need this done during the weekend, so how can I have my desktop open that database automatically?

not sure what it is called these days but google 'windows task manager' or 'windows task scheduler'

however not clear what you expect to achieve so not sure what the benefit is

    good luck with your project

Agree with Ajax - use Task Scheduler to open your database at a set time when you aren't at your PC.
However, I can't see the point of opening it just to refresh the links

Anyway, the attached information may be helpful in setting this up as a scheduled task
Its related to a specific application (SDA Link) but the method can be adapted for any database

Are you saying that you need queries to run after hours? As noted, linked spreadsheets display the current data as soon as you open the db, so there is no need to refresh what they show. If you have login barriers, your use of Task Scheduler for running updating queries or code will require a bit of finagling, but it's quite doable.
