Lost all data in access file, just blank screen

My Grand daughter was entering data in Access 2007, had worked about 25 hours in multiple sessions, went to open Access and file is blank. Windows 10. Named file is there, get screen to Enable file but all data is gone and so are fields. Any idea as to where to start?

The tables are empty?

Do you have a backup file?

Is this a split design?

It turned out to be a computer problem, file was destroyed. Thanks for the quick response.

No backups???


I once typed a program in my Apple II for 3 hours. I got up to get a drink and when I sat down and touched the computer, a big static spark jumped from my finger to the Apple. This, of course, scrambled the memory and all of the typing was lost. Being that I had to save to a cassette tape, I did not make backups. (and was young enough to not be aware that I should be making backups)

So I learned the hard way about the 3 rules of computing:
1) Backup....
2) Backup....

and

3) BACKUP!
