    Formatting a QRY/Subform

    Help please!

If I drag and drop my QRY into my form via Design View, it creates a subform
If I drag and drop the same QRY into the form via Layout View, it creates some kind of QRY...?? see example

Here is how they both look when in Form View:

The Layout view drop has the information I want displayed but if done this way doesn't allow me to hide the scroll bars/record selector/etc for some reason. If done via the design view drop, I can hide/lock the QRY how I like but then it doesn't display the null records. Thoughts?

Easy enough. Then how would I go about getting the null values to display via the design mode drop? Is there an option that needs to get checked/unchecked or something?

All records should display unless restricted by filter. This could be Filter property or Master/Child links.
