Differences between Access 2000 and Access 2013

Size differences between Access 2000 and Access 2013. For some of my users, I converted an Access 2000 database to Access 2013. When files were created for a new year in the Access 2000 database and were emptied, the file size would show a zero size. However when an Access 2013 file is created for the new year and all the data is removed from the file, the file size shows it is the same size like it still contained data. Thus can you tell me why the file size remains the same even though there is no data in the file? Is there something I can do to make the file size be set back to zero?

Run Compact & Repair and see if that makes a difference.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

I don't think there is anything you can do to make the file size zero. There will always be systems tables and there will likely be other objects.
