    Adding Buttoms in "column"

    HI

    yet another question please!!

On my form which has "one column" with the fields listed below I want to add three buttons.
If I just add a button then it fills the whole row.

If I was doing a web site would be simple to add a table and make that table have three columns and away I go but it seems Access does not have this ability

So How to I add three buttons under one column, I tried to split vertically using the format tab and right click ---- split but that doesn't seem to work it just makes the row narrower in height

    thanks

    Ian

Try cutting the button and pasting it away from the table so its free, then resize and make more as you please.

Rather than trying to force a table to have radio buttons (which sounds like the direction you might be trying to go), you should have a form to save data to the table. On the form, you can add a radio button easily, and only the value that is selected will be saved in the data table.

What do you mean by 'one column with fields listed below' - column is normally synonymous with field. If you have 3 fields and only one can have data for each record then really should be 1 field with 3 options. The 3 options can be presented in a combobox or in an OptionGroup control with 3 radio buttons. OptionGroup and radio buttons can only be on form in Continuous or Single view.

I think his problem was when he inserted a button in layout view it snapped to the bottom of the table and couldn't be resized. I had the same problem it can be confusing when you are new to access. But who knows?! everyone thinks he's asking something different.
