Query in Read Only

I have taken over the maintenance of a database and I have found that some queries create tables that are read only. This hasn't happened in all instances, so it's not a permissions thing.

I have had a search before posting and the advice seems to suggest it could be properties for the table/query - but these all seem to be as the other editable queries.



I'm a bit stumped as I don't know how they creator did these in the first place, so don't know how to rectify.

Any suggestions from anyone out there??

Perhaps you can define when you are able to edit and when you are not. I suspect a query that allows you to edit at one point in time will allow you to edit at another point in time.

Pay attention to which fields you are trying to edit. Just because one field in a query is allowing you to edit data, does not mean that all other fields are editable.

Since you are not trying to create a new query to edit data, I would not worry too much about index properties in tables.
