    Update query

I need to update a manufacturer field with new data in a Sharepoint list. I have a list of new manufacturers in a table. I can’t connect them by original manufacturer. What is the connecting field in my case?

can you provide some example data of what you have at the moment (new data, manufacturer's table) and show what you want after you have done the update

SharePoint list contains many columns, a couple of which are: product and its manufacturer. Manufacturer list contained a lot of errors - spelling, wrong name, etc. There is a table with two fields: original (wrong) manufacturer (MF) and new (right) MF. I need to update the SharePoint list with new (right) MF.

    Thank you for your feedback.
While running an update query, I get an error message: Could not find field. Any ideas? I am simply copying data from one field into another.

all I can suggest is the field does not exist - perhaps misspelt
