    Converting Excel to Access

    Hi,

I'm new to Access and would love if someone would guide me through how to convert one of my Excel schedules to run as Access.

I have a Weekly schedule that runs from Sun/Mon through to Sat/Sun and it contains alot of data that I would love to switch to Access.

Our company is using Access but for scheduling, it has not got that far yet.
I would like to try to see if I can use Access to build our Scheduling tool, instead of running Excel all the time.

If you require me to send the excel file, please let me know if you can help and if it is possible, I will attach for your attention.

Many thanks to all those who read this message

    Pugg

I'm not sure what 'running excel' means, but
I'm guessing you have SUN thru SAT running across the columns....this won't work for access.
    the structure would be

    Bob, 1/1/2015 1:00 pm, Event1
    sam, 2/15/2015 3:45pm, event2

    Name, date,event

I would suggest working through these tutorials http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/forum/forum46.html

The people in the forum are willing to review what you attempt and answer questions, but I don't think anyone has time to design your dB (especially for free ) .
Plus, if someone else designs your dB, you won't learn as much and won't be able to fix or add features.

Good luck with your project. You are on your way to becoming an Access developer!

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
