Can Access 2010 Runtime Run on an XP Machine

I have an XP machine that has Access 2010 Runtime installed on it and it has both SP1 and SP2.

I create runtimes on a Win 7 machine. When I try to execute any runtime on another Win7 machine, no problem.

The problem is that I can't get it to work on the XP machine with the Access Runtime 2010 installed (that I mention in the first sentence).

The error received is: "The database cannot be opened because the VBA project contained in it cannot be read" and so on.

I realize that XP is no longer officially supported. Does anyone know if XP, using runtime 2010, can execute a runtime version of a database also created in 2010, but on a Win7 machine?

I think it would depend on what version of Access runtime is installed on the XP machine. Is the XP machine running Access 2010 as well?

Yes, I mention that in the first sentence ;-) unless of course, I'm not being clear about it ...

Oops! My bad - too late in the afternoon, I guess! You couldn't be much clearer that what you had!! Sorry.

Now red-faced, I don't really have an answer for you. You could try saving as an .mdb / .mde.

No problem, I am personally famous for that sort of thing. I would try saving it out as an mde except the company I'm working for is committed to this 2010 rollout and might not like that as an official solution. So I figured I'd see if anyone has a definitive answer to the question before I check it out further...anyone?
