    Append data in a field

Every time I do a search for append, it comes up with a bunch of information about append queries. This is not what I am looking for. Now this may be a very simple question, but I have it set up in my devices field to store changes only in the "DeviceName" field. I turned the append only function to yes in the field properties. How do I make a report on this data? Like say someone was looking for a specific computer name but the computer name is no longer active for that computer?

    Sorry, not understanding.

What do you mean by 'changes only' and 'append only' field properties? What data is in 'devices' field? If a computer name no longer exists how can it be searched for?

A feature that states that a field will automatically store the previous information is the "Append Only" option when you are in design view of a table and have a field selected. I would like to know if it is possible to search through this appended data.

Are those Access 2013 features - because not seeing with Access 2010. So can't answer your question. Did you try searching?
