No way of knowing without examining the db and don't know if I could even open a 97 file.

Did this used to work properly? What has changed?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

yes always worked good, never had this problem before, Ive added a few drop down boxes and I think I added an input mask to customers table (first and last name) to capitalize first letter, this never worked and I totally forgot to remove, which i have now so perhaps this is the root of the problem ?? I'll keep an eye open and post back if this problem is sorted. many thanks for getting back to me June7
    Best wishes
    Steve
