How to keep the same record when selecting different forms in navigation form

Hi all, I have a problem and your help please.

I want to make a database for a group of patients which will include the patient demographics, test results, treatment, etc.. So I made a separate form for each of these headings (not sure if that the best way or not as the whole data are in a single table) then I wanted to build a navigation form to ease the process of data entry.

The question I have is how to keep the same record (i.e. The same patient) while moving between forms in this navigation form. Also is there an easier way of doing this database rather than the navigation forms?

    Thanks
