Customising the task pane.

Hi All



I've transferred to a new machine. I had the opening task pane showing in a certain way on the old machine which I am unable to manage on the new machine.

I've attached two screenshots - how do I get from the A to B?









I appreciate it's not the most technical of questions , but I'm grateful for any help.

Ok thanks for getting back.

I followed the link , but it only gives standard instructions about how to move task panes about.

I couldn't find how to have the pane as in the original question though , so the problem still exists.

Sorry, I am using 2010 and not seeing such a feature. Can't even find the MS Office interface shown in that link.

I have never bothered with the task pane. It seems you cannot create custom task panes within office 2003. So navigating through existing ones and showing and hiding features (task Panes) is the closest you can get to customization.

- The two images in the original question do show it can be done. It's just a question of how. Both are of a set up using Office 2003.
