    Access VBA Error

    Hi All,

I am receiving this error attached when trying to open an Access database. It opens on a colleague’s 32 bit machine that is using Access 2010. I am using a 64 bit machine and with Access 2013. Any ideas how to fix this issues.

    Thank you in advanced!

Looks like I posted this topic in the wrong section, can an admin move it to the right place?

It is doubtful this is a 32bit vs. 64bit issue. More likely, the issue is 2013 vs. 2010.

Are there macros in your db?

Macros are likely to create version specific issues.

@hapm, thank you! I will look into the link you provided and see what I can come up with.

@ItsMe, I don't think so, but I will need to ask the person who created the DB to make sure.

I don't know how I overlooked that screenshot. Anyway, I just tested that DLL on my machine W7 64bit with Access 2010 32bit. It works fine. If you have Access 64bit the ptrSafe thing should work for you, just be sure to test for Vba7.

    On my machine
    Vba7 Is Nothing
    So no need for ptrsafe

The 'PtrSafe' worked! Thank you to both!
