    Type Mismatch with related field

I am adding a related field to a form and get an error "Type mismatch in expression" when I try to switch to View mode.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am fairly sure I have the correct relationship in place, I just can't work this out.

I come from many years on File Maker Pro, some of the terms in Access are doing my head in!

    These are my related fields:
Table: Employees - Field: Employee Number
Table: Log Book - Field: Employee Number

    I want to add:
First Name and Last Name (calculation field from Employees Table) onto a form that has Log Book as its table

I've tried adding First Name (text field from Employees Table) to the layout but I get the same error.

Please double check in table design view to make sure both "Employee Number" field are the same. If you have not already done that.

Can you upload a sample of your database for closer look?

I don't see the subform "LogBook".

Can you tell me how to produce your error?
