Help: User can't edit in my database

    Hello,

I made the front end of my database an ACCDE file and gave it to one of my collegues to test. The backend is in one of our shared drives. He can see all the data and use my navigation to find records. However he can not edit records. There is no error message, the database just doesn't let him enter the fields.

When I open the ACCDE database on my computer, I can edit records. We have the same operating system and version of Access. Anyone know what is going on?

Sounds like it may be a permissions issue. Everyone using the db needs FULL access ( Read, Write, Delete, etc.).

yep, you are right. I hadn't updated the permissions in the properties tab of the back-end file. Thanks!
