Try using Conditional Formatting. Textboxes and comboboxes have Conditional Formatting.

Although I don't know if web app can use Conditional Formatting.

How do you know who the user is? Is there a login procedure?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
