Attachment pop up window is not displaying

Created a attachment field in my database and on my form. I open the form in Form mode and click on the field for the attachment only to have no options pop up that seem to be the standard for adding an attachment or going forward and backward through them. The best I can do is right click and get a long list of options starting with Cut, Copy, Paste, and ending with Manage Attachments and Form Properties. The problem is everything is grayed out in the pop up menu. I'm using Access 2013, and did see where if you create a split form you won't get the pop up window that I am expecting. I, however, am not using a split form.

Perhaps the edit properties of the form and or control. Maybe the Query that the form is based on is not updatable. Just guesses and places I would start. I don't use the Attachment control.

I already double checked any of the properties and query as well.

Then perhaps a corrupt control and or form. Try deleting control and or saving you VBA as text and then adjust the Has Module property of the form. Has Module = No will delete all of the VBA for that form.

I went and did that, and it still doesn't work.

EDIT. I went and tried to make all of my tables local and the one table I'm using isn't being converted back and it is listed as missing. If I open the backup(BE) database that was created after I split the database, the table is there. I had added the attachment field to the backup, and the field gets shown in the list of fields with the active database so I don't know how that table is missing.

EDIT: I figured it out. I needed to bring the table in locally and then add the attachment field.

Thank you for posting that tidbit of info. I don't think I would have guessed that one.
