The Spinning Wheel Mocks Me...

I posted recently about a large database I have created to learn Access and the SQL query language, it contains summary sales records by branch / store / menu item for a large company....so in the near future I'll have to do something different with the back end. BUT, in the meantime I have been able to run queries and am eager to work with the results, but after a query has completed and the results appear on the screen a few seconds will pass and then I get a spinning blue wheel that I believe means Access is working. In the task manager Access continues to use 25% of my CPU while the wheel is spinning. A minute will pass and I can briefly use Access before the wheel comes up and starts spinning again. I'm hoping this is just a refresh setting or something that anyone with more experience knows how to fix....please let me know any advice you have.

It does sound like refresh. The refresh interval can be adjusted with Client Settings. However, this is an application setting, not a database setting.
