Question View attachment name in the form

Is it possible to view the name of the attachment as I scroll through the attachments I added to a record in a form? I see a field that was generated with .FileName after my attachment field name but I can't get it to display any information when I assign it to the control source in a separate text box. Thanks.

The only way I could get it to work was to expand the attachment field (which is really a hidden subtable) to display each attachment as an individual record. I did that by dragging the FileData and FileName subfields from the form Field List. This probably makes the form useless for data entry/edit.

I searched web and found the question has been asked but no other solution http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/o...e-287ed7175ca3

Wait, maybe this works, not tried yet http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...9-a77757eb5304

... and it works! Amazing what can be learned on the web!

Are you aware Access has a 2GB size limit and lots of embedded objects can use that up fast?
