    Exclamation Create run time form MS Access 2000

    Is there any way to create a runtime from MS 2000?

    We are running MS access 2000 on our machines using .mdb We want to change it to use an executable
    so the users can't change the code

    Make a backup of your mdb and store it in a safe place first! (thank you Orange for reminding me)

    Then save your mdb file as an mde file and that should do what you're looking for.

    Make a backup of your mdb and store it in a safe place first!
    Once you move to mde, the only way to change the database is to use the mdb (that the mdb was created from)
    make changes, then make another mde (now including the changes).

    It won't let me select .mde get the following error:

    I believe I did all that was suggested but I still can't create the mde

    Import all of the objects into a new database using an admin level member. Then, do not add user permissions to the new DB

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
