    duplicates and summing

    Hey guys,

I'm not sure if you have a simple fix for this.

I have a query that pulls sales data for customers in a date range. For some reason, 1 customer is getting 9 duplicates. This query also sums the data to get total sales volume per customer.

I have gone into properties and hit Yes on Unique Values. With the Totals turned off, everything looks perfect. When I turn Totals back on, it summing the duplicates. This query has worked great for 3 years (since creation) and now it screws up on the one customer. Any ideas?

If all other customer data is correct, I would look at the raw data for the one customer that is returning duplicates.
The query will not return 99 out of 100 records correctly and "screw up" on one customer.
That tells me there is a problem with the data for that one customer.

That has happened to me many times..... after banging my head against the wall for hours, the problem ended up being bad data.
