How was the form created? With wizard? In Access 2007?

Looks like AutoFormat was applied. In my experience, once an AutoFormat is applied, change colors is frustrating.

The Detail section can be changed by setting both BackColor and AlternateBackColor properties. Nothing seems to work for the Header.

I don't use wizards and templates.

Create new form, don't apply AutoFormat, copy/paste all controls, set colors as desired.

There is an embedded picture in your form. Hence, the change of color though applied is not displayed.Remove the picture from the Form and the color applied will be diaplayed.

Interesting, I already tried deleting every control, including the image, from the header and still could not get color to change.

Under the Format property of the form (Not format property of the form header), on Picture, you will see "Image", delete the image then change the color and you will see it going.

Thank you, that explains a lot. The AutoFormat creates an image. And since there is no option under AutoFormat to 'remove' format, have to manually 'fix'.
