    Print Issues

We just installed a Sharp MX-4100n printer directly onto our network and are having issues printing from our Order Management system that runs via Access 07.

We have security set up on the printer so that only allowed users can print color, all others must have the Black and White copies checkbox checked inorder to print.

There is a print button coded on the screen that sends a report to the printer. The problem is that when in Access if you are looking at a form or report and then try to print it, it does not take the User settings (set up in the driver of the printer) but rather takes the printer's default settings (which does not have the checkbox checked.

This setting can not be set on the printer it's self (not sure why but it can't)

    I am clueless!!

not sure - - but this I know; if you press the printer icon to print - - it prints to the default printer - - while if you go to 'File' and then select 'Print' ...you can select any printer that your generic windows networking makes available to you.....
