Open filtered form in sample contacts webdatabase mc access 2013

    Hello,

Who can help me with the next problem:

I used the sample contacts webdatabase from acces 2013.
I want to open a form (stores) which is filtered on the field city in the existingtemplate.
In the to open form the field Objectcode contains the same valaues.

I use the next code but it's not working:

    Openform:stores
    where [Objectcode]=Forms![Main]![NavigationSubform].Form![City]

When i open the form, access askes for City, if i put in the objectcode het filters allright, but it looks he doesn,t see the field City on Forms![Main]![NavigationSubform].Form![City] while it is there, i build it with the expression builder.

I don't understand what is going wrong, i tried a lot of things but nothing is working!
I think i look over something.

Please give me a clou so i can finish my database.

    Thank you all in advance,

    Kind regards castor

Don't understand. You want to filter main form based on value in subform? Forms don't work that way. Child does not control parent.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Crud! I don't like nor use Navigation form. But I don't build web databases either. This issue of referencing controls on Navigation form has been discussed. Start with review of https://www.accessforums.net/forms/t...orm-32053.html

Search forum on topic Navigation Form for more.
