Temp files on Split Database when generating a Report?

I have created a report on a split database. When I create the report, it lists temp files. What are these files? Also, if I create a report on the split database, how can I remove the default themes? I don't want auto generated lines; however, I don't want to create the report from scratch either.

Why would creating a report list 'temp files'? I don't understand this.

I just let wizard create a report and not seeing any theme applied.

    What are 'auto generated lines'?

I don't understand either why it is listing temporary fields. If I create a report on a database that is not split, I don't see this. However, once the database is split and the front end is on the client machine and the back end is on the server, then when I create a report and list fields, their is an option of temporary fields. Do I need to develop with both the front end and the back end on the same machine?
Perhaps theme is not correct terminology here. When I create a report from a query, then it automatically puts in lines around each field and does alternate shading between each line. I know this is for easier reading but they don't want this.

June, I did figure out how to make the lines disappear and the alternating shades. I was going to the property sheet of the fields, turned out I didn't need to. Still having issues with the temp files. Can I not develop with the back end on the server and the client side on my laptop? Must both be on one machine for development?

When you said 'temp files' you meant 'temp fields'? Still don't know what you mean by 'temp fields'.

You can build objects and write code but debugging could be difficult.

Yes, temp fields. So when I go to add fields, I see a bunch of fields with tmp in front of them.

I am not familiar with the behavior you describe. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
