    Please show me how to

    Hi,
I set up a ECO Finder button on the Form. This ECO Finder is connected to a query table named ECO LOOKUP. This ECO LOOKup query contains few columns. Two of these columns named Mold Number and ECO Number.

To find the ECO number(s), the Mold number will be used. (That means the ECO number will be found base on the Mold Number)

I have typed [ENTER MOLD NUMBER TO FIND ECR NUMBER(S) in the column Mold Number (in the Criteria row). So, everytime, I want to find the ECO Number(s), I have to click the ECO Finder button and enter the Mold number in the box. Whether the mold number is entered right or not, the ECO LOOKUP query always pop out.

My question is does anyone know the way to make the messeage like "Your Mold Number can't be found, please reenter the correct number!" when the mold number is either enter incorrectly or leave a blank?

    Could someone please help me?
    Thanks

For starter, use comboboxes and set LimitToList property to Yes.

In the button Click event, can do:

    If Not IsNull(Me.cbxECO) Then
'code to open query or form or report
    End If
