Cannot open a database created with a previous version of your application.

    Hello,

When I trying to open my Access database in Access2010 i am getting this error saying that "Cannot open a database created with a previous version of your application."

I dont know on which version database is developed but i am getting this error in 2010. I have only Access 2010 in my system.

I dont have any older versions in my computer(2003 etc).

How can i open this database in my present Access 2010. Can you please help me on this to open this database.

    Thank you..

This may be the issue. While this is for AC2013, I think the procedure will work with AC2010 also. You may have to take the db to another machine that has 2003 on it so that it can be converted.

This may happen when you try to open a Microsoft Access older version in Microsoft Access new version.
To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods:

Method 1: Reregister the Dao360.dll file and the Msrd3x40.dll file
Method 2: Restore the correct registry settings

For more detail about the methods, please check this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310937
