Access Data to display on State Map

    Hello,

I want to tap into the knowledge base here to see if this project I have in mind can be done with Access.
I have a database will all the FM stations in the USA/Canada, I wish to plot the frequency and calls to the correct city on the state map as per the attachment, can it be done?
If so, what are my steps and what maps can I use?

You can use Access to store the data but expect will need some kind of mapping program like ArcGIS, MicrosoftMapPoint, BingMaps, GoogleEarth, GoogleMaps to spatially display the data.

ArcGIS is a very expensive software (thousands $). There are similar apps for several hundreds, I think MicrosoftMapPoint is one. The others listed are freebies and the data has to be in a kml structured text file.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Thanks for the reply June7, I will look at MS Mappoint and the others you suggested for ideas and compare to see which is the best for what I wish to do.
