Create link to a report page

Is there a control that can be used in a report that when clicked upon will take the user to a specific page of the report? AND, if so, would such links be valid when the report was exported to a pdf file?

The application here is that of a multi-page directory of individuals whose profiles appear on pages subsequent to the first "index" page. I want to provide for the user the means to locate a name in the index that when clicked upon will take the user to the report page that contains the corresponding profile of the individual. Further, I want to export the report to a pdf file and have the "Index links" functional when the pdf file is view with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

Can use intrinsic Access filter/search tools on an open report so possibly those actions can be programmed. However, no bookmark - 'index link' - can be embedded in the report. You have to build those on the PDF with Acrobat Pro or make the PDF an OCR searchable document. Maybe Word is capable of exporting bookmarks to PDF output.

    Thanks.

I tried exporting to WORD, but the export did not include any images that were a part of the "profiles", only the text. I did create page links with the PDF using Acrobat Pro, but one must do that "one item at a time".

    Thanks again,

Did not mean to imply should export to Word. A Word document can have bookmarks (index links). Maybe these bookmarks would remain intact with Word export to PDF. This seems to indicate can be done http://www.ehow.com/how_5822719_reta...-word-pdf.html

Got it! The directory is created directly from an Access backend DB. So, that's where I need to start the process.

    Thanks,
    Bill
