I currently have two computers, provided by two different clients. One has Access 2003 using XP and when I insert an OLE image in a form or report, it prints fine (I did have to download Photo Editor from the CD to make it work). Although this client could benefit from upgrading software... at least it works!!
The other computer has Access 2007 using Windows 7, and I have tried everything to use OLE images with no success. I have a database of vendors, and my client wants me to print a directory of these vendors with their logo. I have been able to link to the image and have the logo image appear in the form, but when I try to create a report (even just copying the form to a report) the image will not print. I have been looking for a solution for months, and have even dug out my old Office XP CD to load "Photo Editor" and it will not load. I have tried to download a free version of Photo Editor, and it will not download, citing incompatible version.
I know that loading Photo Editor is not the best solution. I know that using OLE embedded images makes your database huge. I would like to do this the right way. Can someone please walk me through the steps that Microsoft intended when they created Access 2007?
Thanks.
