Short date will show as 6/19/2012

To get day first, in Format property put: dd/mm/yyyy

Thank you for replaying to my problem,
I have Access 2010, and my problem isn’t international date formatting, though I am entering the date as (dd/mm/yyy) it is showing the year in totally deferent format and totally wrong for example if enter this date (21/07/2012) it will show (21/07/ 12203).
The day and the Month is correct but the year is totally wrong.

Can you try entering and formating a date in Excel and see if this issue shows up there as well? I am thinking it could be a regional settings issue.

I'm thinking your version of Access is corrupt. I would try re-installing Access. Is this a US Version of Access or some other language?

    Thank you all,
I have resolved the problem by changing the PC regional format to (dd/mm/yy) instead of (dd/mm/yyy).

    Best Regards,

I thought that was a typo in post. yyy will never work anywhere when formatting date. Must be yy or yyyy.
