Search Box

I am attempting to follow the directions given on navigating the Navigation Pane using the Northwind database. I can't find the search box. Directions say -
Click the Tables group to expand it, and then double-click the Customers table.

2. Right-click the bar at the top of the pane and click Search Bar.

To make the Search bar visible, repeat this

• With the Search bar visible, expand all the groups, and in the Search box, slowly enter customer. Notice how Access filters the list of objects as you type.

After right clicking on the top bar in the Navigation pane, I found the magifying glass and Search Bar. Clicking on it (numerous times) doesn't bring up a box in which to type.
Am I in the wrong place? Where should I be?

If you see a box that says Search... and a magnifying glass next to it, that is the search box. Click in the box and you should have flashing cursor instead of Search... Type what you want to search for.

I was expecting the 'old' box in the middle of the screen. Had not noticed the small box which only searched the Navigation Bar at the top of the page. thanks
