How to get rid of the record traversing option in the form

    Hi

I am new to MS access. I am trying to develop a form where the user will enter the certain details and click add to insert the record in the database with the details entered in the fields.
Now my problem is while adding a record i do not want the option for traversing the records, as I am developing another form for viewing and traversing the records in the database. Can anyone help me out of this... I am inserting the screenshot.

They are a property of the form; navigation buttons.

Hi pbaldy, does that mean it cannot be removed (or turned off) ? I apologize if it sounds silly...

No, I often turn it off. You just go into the properties of the form and change that property.

Or you could simply set the Data Entry Property to Yes; this only allows New Records to be added but does not allow Viewing/Editing of previously existing Records.

Simply turning off the native Access Nav buttons means you'll also need to
    • Open the Form on a New Record
    • Create a custom Command Button to add more than one New Record in a session.
