    Euro Symbol not showing

I've opened up my database and all entries (in fields) of the euro symbol now seem to be replaced by a box.

I can't think of anything I've done to change settings to cause this; does anyone know please how I can get the euro symbol back ?

    Many thanks

Start simple. You could try to check your regional settings in windows. For XP, read this:

    Does this work?

    Thanks for that,

I've gone through that Microsoft page and been in and checked "Date and Time" - all OK

I've been into Regional and Language Options > Regional Options > Customise > Currency

The setting in "£" which is fine as I use that but, before, the database would show the £ sign and € symbol in fields.

With that checked, what should I do next please ?

    Thanks

Sounds like the font is missing that glyph. If you're seeing this on a form, have you tried changing the font of the control?

Here's what I was talking about, not sure if it applies to your situation. It's hard to find a font without the Euro symbol nowadays.

Thanks ever so much dave_m, now I know what the problem is I can solve it.

I'd been using Bradley Hand ITC and it was working fine last year with the Euro symbol; obviously, something has changed somewhere ! I've changed the font to Lucida Calligraphy and the Euro sign shows up fine now, not my first choice of font but beggars can't be choosers !

    Thanks so much again.

    Best wishes
