    Splitting Access 2010

I am trying to split an Access 2010 database. The database currently has a switchboard. Problem is each time I try to split the database i get an error message saying that the database splitter cannot convert the switchboard or something to that effect. I do see the database saved in the location that I selected for the backend but it is not split because It contains all the tables, forms and queries created prior to splitting. Do I need to get rid of the switch to enable Access to split the database? Has anyone had this particular problem with Acccess 2010 and is there a way to split the database given what I have just naratted?

    Thank you.

I have never used wizard-built switchboard. I basically avoid most of the wizards. I use only VBA, no macros.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Splitting a database into front/backend is simple...manual way is to make a copy of the database and call it the backend....then delete everything but the tables. make a copy of the original and call it front it, and delete only tables. Then link the tables from the backend into the front-end. That way you don't rely on the wizard, that's if the issue is with the wizard....
