I don't undersatd this message I get often

First, I have Windows 7 Pro.

Often times while I’m working in a database & need to make changes to a tbl or qry often times I get this message - The database engine could not unlock 'Daily Tasks' (a tbl) because it's already in use by another person or process. What does it mean? I added a new tbl & it won’t let me create a relationship to another tbl. Several times I completely closed/exited out of the database, reopened it, but I still have the same problem/message.

I could create a new dbs given a different name & import ALL of the objects from the first dbs into the new created dbs which work in the past, but I’ve run into this issue too many times.

It seems to me that maybe this is an issue with Windows 7 rather than Access, but I’m not sure. Might someone have any suggestions which indeed I would greatly appreciate.

What it means is that either

1. You or another person have the table Daily Tasks open either in table view, design view, or from a form or report.

OR

2. You have something like a combo box or list box which is currently using it for its row source and since it is doing that, you can't make design changes to the table while those are active.
