    Newbie question about autonumbers.

    Hi
This is my first post,so hi to all at accessforums.
This maybe a real newbie question.I want to create a table for work from which i can enter jobs that come into my office. All jobs are given a number as they come in.I want the number to update after each entry as with the autonumber but dont want to start from "1"(jobs will start 10900). Can someone advise.Thanks.

I believe I've seen another method for accomplishing what you want, but didn't find it.
