Problem moving database to another computer

I'm using Access 2007 which I built a database that runs queries off of tables using ODBC. The database is all done in ms access, I've used no visual basic programing on it. I'm now trying to move a copy of the database to another computer's local drive in the office. When we try to open it on the other computer it gives me an error that says "There was a problem sending the command to the program" and Access hangs, which I then have to run task manager to end the program. I've tryed googling this but I can't seem to find a solution. Any ideas/help?

Specs Are: Windows 7 64bit (the db was created on Windows 7 32bit)
    Microsoft Access Version 2007

Does the new machine have the ODBC connection created?

Yes, ODBC is installed and connnected. I've also managed to narrow down the issue to the computer having Windows 7 64bit. I was able to get it working on a coworkers computer which has 32 bit Windows 7 installed with no issues..

I've run it on 64 bit Windows 7 before with no problems. It may be that you have SP1 for Windows 7 on one machine and not on the other Windows 7 machine. Can you verify that they are either both base Windows 7 installations or both Windows 7 SP1 installations?

All Windows 7 updates are installed, including SP1. Still no luck. Its not just this database either, Access itself is very sluggish on the computer. Tryed reinstalling with no luck. Also tested out the database on another office computer with the same software config on 64bit windows but different hardware and was able to get it working no problem. Its almost like Access gets stuck in some sort of loop, because when I try to run task manager to end the program, it keeps revering the window back to access and won't let me minimize it.

Also tryed booting into safemode and running the database.. same issue..
