Filter based on external data

I created a report (access 2010) that uses external data from a CSV file. One of the columns is a value that is either 0 or 1. I would like to filter my report based on this value. If it is 1 it included in the report if it is 0 then it is not. I'm not sure the best way to do this, I thought of a filter but that option is grayed out in the menu bar. I tried using the filter by using the pulldown options in the data column in the data sheet view but that only works for that view and does not save when I exit.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated,

You have link to the CSV file? If so, can read the data and include it in queries just like a table. Include that column in query and use parameter in criteria to filter.

Understanding queries is essential to relational database functionality. You should study up on them. Access Help has guidelines.
