    not sure uf this can be done

    i have inserted a test table to show what i am trying to do .
    you will see that i have two table one with 2 field and the other table has one field that i would like to auto creat the records in . I hope this makes some sort of sence when you look at it ..

    Your query1 seems to solve the issue. If you want the data in a new table, then change your Query1 from a select query to a make table query and voila.

    I don't think that douse work . if you notice the plctable uses the same size table EG 0204 record then i need it to mearge with each record in the width field then fill the plccode table it will i hope look like 020406 lets say record one the 020408 ext . this is hard to explain sorry .

    In relational databases there is no plausible reason to store a calculated field in a table. The information is available in a query and can be used in a report or a form or any other means of reporting. Why do you need this stored in a table if the information is already available to you?
