OLE server may not be registered

    Hello,

In 2004 I’ve created an “active(.ocx)” with "Visual studio 6", but after different switches and a serious “crash”, I’ve lost all the OCX sources wich is used with a MS Access application that I’ve moved in 2010.
It goes very well with some Windows 7 computers and Vista with Office 2007 or 2010, but on other computers, I’ve got this message “The OLE server may not be registered” when I try to open the pages which contain the OCX, and this despite a successful “regsvr”.

I’ve noticed that the concerning machines have all been installed from the beginning with Office 2010.
    The OCX dependences are:
    msvbvm60.dll
    kernel32.dll
    gdi32.dll
    advapi32.dll
    oleaut32.dll
    ole32.dll

The version of these files is the same on both working and no working machines. However a difference exist: the DLL advapi version on the working machines is in French.

The reinstatement of Office XP/2000 photo editor isn't more efficient than the total reinstatement of office XP/2000

Thank you for your help and for any solution enable me to install this OLE server while I try to find some time to redevelop this OCX.

    Best regards

Are you sure that you aren't using 64-bit versions of Office on "bad" computers?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
