Changing the appearance of a list box on a printed report.

Does anyone know how to change how the list box appearances on a printed report? I'm talking about one that allows multiple selections and it ends up as a box like the one shown in the attached file. I want to get rid of the border and the lines inside the box.

The border can be set to Transparent. It is natural to think that the Gridline properties are intended to format the internal lines of listbox, but apparently those properties don't actually do anything, no matter what they are set to. Check this article http://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=5329 - nothing seems to have changed since it was posted.
