    Another Problem

I have my database setup with tabs. I go through and enter all the information pertaining to the student. I hit the button down on the left hand corner so that I can enter information for the next student. The program changes to the next record on the tab that I am on but it does not change to the next record on all the other tabs. Why would that be and what can I do about it?

    Thanks

well theres tabs and there are tabs. the original tab feature in Access up until pre-2007 the tab feature was set into a single form.....as a way to organize data of that single form - - and therefore all tabs are looking at just one record of that form. And so if you move to a new record it does on all tabs too.....

but there is now a tab display feature - actually an option, (as opposed to overlapping windows) - which is a nice enhancement feature....but each tab is an individual form with its own record source. a query is a tab a table is a tab...and one can move between these objects quite conveniently.

so since you are 2010 I assume you have the latter and will need to perhaps force the close of those other open forms when you change records....not sure...it depends.

    Hope this helps.
