Database made on XP won't merge on 7

I've made a fully-functional database on Windows XP (Office XP). One of the computers it needs to run on operates Windows 7 (also Office XP). When I open the document on its own, no problem. When I open it from the database (using a button with a hyperlink), it says that Access has encountered a problem and must cancel or some bull like that.

I haven't a clue where to start with this and urgently request any help you can give. (Deadline coming up! Must get paid )

There isn't really any code, I just have a document linked under the hyperlink property of my button, which I've checked to make sure is right. I can't remember the message, but it tells me that Access must shut down.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
