Exporting Records from a Form to Excel

    Here's the deal.

I have a form in which criteria can be entered and a subform in datasheet view that displays the results of the search.

I need a way to export only these filtered results, not the whole underlying table, into Excel. This will be used by others so I need an easy way that this task can be repeated such as a command button.

    Any Suggestions??

Everything I have tried so far exports everything in the table that the form is conntected to.

I don't know much about access so feel free to talk to me like a small child. Thanks.

Have you tried exporting a query with a criteria pointing to the form to restrict to that record?

No, how would I make my query have the same criteria as my form? Is there a way to link this?

You said "criteria can be entered", so can the query point to that textbox (or whatever the user enters criteria into)?

So what would I enter in the criteria field? The same code that is behind the Search button that restricts that particular field?
